All Your Gifted Child’s School Options: From Pre-K Through High School (October 21, 2024)
In New York City, 50% of students test in the top 10% nationwide on a variety of IQ and achievement tests.
Parents of these gifted children are often overwhelmed by their schooling options, as well as the different application processes for them all. They want to do what’s best for their child and to maximize their potential, but aren’t sure how to do it.
From gifted private preschools (yes, those do exist!), to Kindergarten options which include public citywide and district Gifted & Talented programs (and so, so much more), to selective Honors programs in middle school, to Specialized and Screened high schools.
We’ll discuss ALL of your options – and how to maximize your odds of getting in.
Other topics covered will include applying to G&T after Kindergarten, financial aid at private schools for exceptional students, and transferring schools in non-traditional entry point years when you discover your current school just isn’t the right fit.
To make sure that everyone gets a chance to speak, space is extremely limited.
This is a Zoom event. A recording will be available for all registered participants upon email request.
